Marc Jacobs LVs and Leaves Louis Vuitton

Published on The aftermath of learning of Marc Jacob’s departure from Louis Vuitton has speculated to the point where we are now left with both a hole in our hearts and cobwebs in our wallets – but a sigh of relief on behalf of our credit cards.

After a phenomenal sixteen years in being creative director for Louis Vuitton, Marc is said to have quite literally thrown in the towel – or rather, the sumptuous monogram embossed tote – in order to focus solely on his own brand. Notorious for the success of Louis Vuitton merchandise, it has come as quite a shock for us all. Albeit this is seemingly inconsolable news, there still remains a glimmer of hope in the sense that reports indicate Jacobs is said to be finalising his leave in the A/W show, which will be held in March of 2014.

Until then, we can put our multi-tasking into practise by breathing a sigh of relief, whilst also attempting to stop hyperventilating at the thought of what wonders an ounce of ‘me time’ could do for Marc and his own brand in the up and coming years.
